This Privacy Policy explains how apoQlar GmbH collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use HoloMedicine® applications and related services, including HoloMedicine® Patient Viewer and HoloMedicine® Education.
We collect personal information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, and organization, when you register or contact us.
Technical information may be collected automatically when you use our applications, including device information, operating system, application version, and usage data.
HoloMedicine® applications anonymize DICOM metadata (such as patient name, date of birth, and identifiers) locally on the user’s device before data is transferred to our cloud services. However, information embedded directly within image pixel data (such as burned-in annotations or overlays) cannot be detected or removed automatically. Users are responsible for ensuring that any imaging data used with HoloMedicine® applications does not contain identifiable information within the image content itself and complies with applicable data protection and healthcare regulations.
apoQlar does not access, analyze, or use medical imaging data for any purpose other than delivering it to the authorized user.
Some applications include pre-loaded sample datasets for education and training purposes. These datasets do not contain real patient information.
Personal data is used to provide and maintain our services, authenticate users, deliver updates, respond to support requests, and improve our products. We do not use personal data for advertising purposes.
Personal data is processed based on performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and improving our services, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where required.
apoQlar does not sell or rent personal data to third parties. Personal data may be shared with trusted service providers that support the operation of our applications. These providers are contractually required to protect data and process it only for the purposes specified by apoQlar.
If personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards are implemented in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. All communications between our applications and backend services are encrypted using industry-standard protocols.
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements. When no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymized.
Under applicable data protection laws, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, restrict or object to processing, request data portability, or withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Requests regarding personal data can be sent to contact@apoqlar.com.
apoQlar may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in legal requirements or service functionality. Updated versions will be published on this page.
